Exeter Swim Team Hires New Head Coach

The Exeter Swim Team is excited to announce that Kyle Myers has been hired as the team’s new Head Coach.  Kyle, a former college swimmer, has extensive coaching experience across all age groups from the youngest level through Olympic Trials qualifiers.  As Head Coach, Kyle will be responsible for guiding and developing all levels of EST’s swim program.

From new Head Coach Kyle Myers:  “I am very excited about joining EST and the opportunity to continue the team’s long tradition of promoting and achieving excellence in competitive swimming.  I look forward to working with EST’s talented coaches to offer practical and challenging training for all swimmers and creative ways to stay motivated and have fun as we pursue individual and Team goals.  EST’s strong sense of “community” is also apparent to me.  I look forward to getting to know and working with the parents and swimmers whose commitment to the team is at the core of its success.”

Kyle comes to EST from the Marlins of Raleigh Swim Team in North Carolina where he was a Head Seniors Group Coach.  While at the Marlins, Kyle trained and worked with swimmers of all levels, including an Olympic Trials qualifier.  This summer, one of Coach Kyle's swimmers qualified for and will compete at the 2015 FINA Junior World Championships in Singapore in late August.  Prior to the Marlins, Kyle was a Senior Assistant Coach with the Quantico Devil Dolphins in Northern Virginia where he developed a group of Top-10 nationally ranked swimmers and was selected as a Coach for the Virginia Zone Team.  At QDD, Kyle also started a learn-to-swim program which directly fed into the competitive swimming program at the 8 & Under level.

In 2014, Kyle was nominated for the North Carolina Swimming Age-Group Coach of the Year.  Most recently, he is nominated for the 2015 ASCA National Age-Group Coach of the Year.  Coach Myers is ASCA Level 3 Certified.

Please join us in welcoming Kyle to EST!
