This is the MAC News for Tuesday, May 27th. Hope everyone had a wonderful Memorial Day holiday!
Please be aware that the Hood pool is now open to the public until 6:00 pm. This means Senior Red and Black will be sharing the pool with the patrons and may have as few as 3 lanes to train in depending on the crowd. Remember your lane ettiquette!
Don't forget the presentation for MAC parents and older swimmers by MMI, an orthopedic and physical therapy group, located at 86 Thomas Johnson Ct. in Frederick. The presentation will take place at the clinic this evening at 6:30 pm and will cover common swimming injuries, injury prevention, medicine ball training, and what MMI has to offer. Snacks will be provided and the entire session should last less than an hour.
The meet notice for the NBAC Mid Summer Classic (www.mdswim.org/Schedule/2008NBACjulymeetnotice.doc), July 11-14 at Meadowbrook, has been posted. All entries, along with a check to cover the fees ($4.75/event, up to 3 events per day, plus the $3.00 service charge), are due to the meet entry folder by 12:00 pm on Saturday. This meet is open to all of our swimmers with "BB" times and faster. As always, if you have any questions regarding whether your child should attend this meet, please speak to your child's coach.
