USA Swimming Recognizes DCST as a 2016 Bronze Medal Club

USA Swimming has released the results of their 2016 Club Excellence Program, and DCST was named a Bronze Medal winner.  The USA Swimming Club Excellence Program is a program that recognizes USA Swimming clubs for their commitment to excellence in performance.  This program strives to meet the following objectives:

  • Promote the development of strong, well-rounded age group and senior swimming programs that produce elite 18 & under athletes;
  • Provide recognition and resources to motivate and assist member clubs to strive for the highest ideals of athlete performance. .

Clubs ranked 1 – 20 receive the Gold Medal award, clubs ranked 21 – 100 receive the Silver Medal award, and clubs ranked 101 – 200 in the country receive the Bronze Medal award.

“Earning a Gold, Silver or Bronze ranking has become a highly coveted honor for our club teams. The competition to earn a Club Excellence ranking continues to be more and more challenging.” said Pat Hogan, USA Swimming’s Club Development Managing Director. “On behalf of USA Swimming, I want to congratulate each of the 200 clubs that have earned a ranking in the 2016 program.” 

DCST was ranked 189th in the country out of a total of over 2,750 register teams in the United States.  DCST was one of 8 Illinois teams to be recognized in the program.  This is the sixth time DCST has achieved this award.  The Club previously won the award in 2008, 2010, 2012, 2014 and 2015.
