DCST has 418 Career Best Times at Winter Classic Meet

DCST has 418 Career Best Times at Winter Classic Meet

At the DCST Winter Classic meet, DCST had 418 individual career best times out of a total of 831 individual swims for a good improvement rate of 50%.  This included DCST swimmers swimming a new event legally for the first time in their career 44 times.  DCST won the meet by 2,069 points over second place Elgin.  DCST also bolstered its chances for an outstanding YMCA Championship season with 55 swims which achieved a YMCA qualifying time standard for the first time this year (26 District Times and 29 State Times).

DCST’s next regular season meet will be on Saturday, February 6 at Sage (Crystal Lake) against Sage and Joliet.

With so many great swims, the coaching staff had a difficult time selecting only two Big Dogs of the Meet; therefore, we selected eight. The Big Dogs of the meets were as follows:  Kathryn Fredrickson (8), Evan M. Johnson (7), Zoe Tikkun (9), Calvin VanderSchee (10), Rose Hanus (11), Hunter Smith (11), Lucy Prais-Lewis (15) and Donny Gramer (13).
