DCST Wins Winter Classic

DCST Wins Winter Classic

The Kishwaukee YMCA / DeKalb County Swim Team won their Winter Classic Meet with 4,228.5 points which was 1,658 points better than second place Dundee.  Just as impressive as their margin of victory was the 366 individual life time best times DCST achieved at the meet.  Out of these 366 improved times, 42 were swimmers who achieved a new YMCA qualifying time for the first time this year (22 District Times and 20 Area Times).

With so many great swims, the coaching staff had a difficult time selecting only two Big Dogs of the Meet; therefore, we selected eight. The Big Dogs of the meets were as follows:

            Grace Flemming – Age 8

            Tyler Crown – Age 8

            Alison Kramer – Age 10

            Brett DeConinck – Age 9

            Mikaila DiCostanzo – Age 11

            Jacob Bjork – Age 11

            Catherine White – Age 13

            Palmer Bubb – Age 14
