USA Swimming recognizes DCST as a 2010 Bronze Medal Club
USA Swimming has released the results of their 2010 Club Excellence Program, and DCST was named a Bronze Medal winner. The USA Swimming Club Excellence Program is a program that recognizes USA Swimming clubs for their commitment to excellence in performance.
Clubs were selected as Gold, Silver or
Bronze Medal clubs according to the following parameters:
Gold Level: The top 16 point-scoring clubs eligible for the Gold level.
Silver Level: The remaining clubs ranked through #100 and/or not achieving Gold status.
Bronze Level: Clubs ranked #101 through #200 and/or not achieving Gold or Silver status.
Considering there is over 2,800 registered swim clubs in USA Swimming, this is quite an honor to be ranked in the top 200. This is even more impressive when you consider the ranking system does not only include age group swim clubs like DCST, but it also includes the USA Swimming registered clubs of many University and College teams.
DCST was one of 8 Illinois teams to be recognized in the program. The other teams were: New Trier (Silver), Bloomington-Normal YMCA (Bronze), CATS Aquatic Club – Libertyville / Vernon Hills (Bronze), Lyons (Bronze), Maverick – Naperville (Bronze), Palatine (Bronze) and St. Charles (Bronze).
