BC Senior Open Review

Jessica was our only swimmer competing at the 2017 Swim BC Senior Open Meet this past week but she had some incredible swims throughout the meet! Jessica went for her 50m Breaststroke Western Canadian Time Standard twice, setting a new team record and just missing by .06 of a second. The standard is set for 16&over girls and Jessica was so close racing as a 12 year old! Very fast swimming. She also had a big breakthrough in the 100m Backstroke, dropping over 3 seconds and finishing with a time of 1:12.60 which qualifies her to swim the event at Canadian Western Championships, where she now has three events total (100m Backstroke, 100m Breaststroke and 200m Breaststroke). She also set a long course best time and team record in the 200m Individual Medley and was just over her best 200m Breaststroke. A great showing against the top Senior swimmers in our province!
