Brady and Morgan Represent at Sectionals

Sharli Brady and Lilly Morgan are continuing to represent the Clippers to their finest at the Speedo Sectional Championships. Way to Go Girls

Saturday Morning/Finals

Sharli Brady and Lilly Morgan had a very successful day of swimming yesterday at the Speedo Sectional Championships in Indianapolis. This seasons meet is a long course meet so the girls went up without training any long course. That obviously did not phase them.

Lilly competed in the 100 backstroke where she went a lifetime best time of 1:12:07. This time placed her 67th and 3rd over all for 12 yr old girls.

Sharli competed in the 400 free where she went a lifetime best time of 4:38 and finished 39th overall. Later she competed in the 200 Butterfly where she finished a very impressive 9th place after qualifying 12th in the morning. She won the consolation heat with a time of 2:22.

Sunday Morning

Sharli is right back where she ended the day yesterday swimming fast times and qualifying for finals. This morning she competed in the 200 IM and blazed to a best time of 2:28.02. This qualified her 10th overall and she is the fastest 14&under in the meet in this event.

Update at NCAA’s

Cory Chitwood shook off the illness he experienced earlier in the week in very exciting fashion. After a good swim in the morning but not what he wanted, Cory qualified 10th in the 100 backstroke going a best time of 46.5. Frustrated by his place of 10th, He came back to finals on a mission. He wanted to throw up a time that would make the final heat work hard to beat and that is what he did. Cory blazed to an amazing time of :45.77, a time that would have seeded him #1 and it has now put him into the Top 20 all time NCAA performance in the 100 back(without a hi-tech suit!!). His time held up as the 2nd fastest overall in the meet.
