Artistic Swimming World Series 2018 concludes in Tashkent


FINA ARTISTIC SWIMMING WORLD SERIES 2018

The second edition of the newest FINA event, the FINA Artistic Swimming World Series 2018, concluded on Sunday July 1 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, after a ten-leg circuit across Europe, Asia and the Americas that started in Paris-Montreuil in March.

Mexico and Uzbekistan were the most successful teams this weekend in the Uzbek capital, clinching 8 gold medals out of 10 up for grabs. 

Mexican swimmers bagged the Solo Technical and Solo Free, with Joana Betzabe Jimenez Garcia earning 82.5333 points for the Technical routine and Nuria Lidon Diosdado Garcia collecting 84.0667 points for her Free performance. 

Nuria Lidon Diosdado Garcia / Karem Achach Ramirez of Mexico were the best in both the Duet Technical (83.8356) and Duet Free (85.0000), while Germany and Kazakhstan ranked second (78.9333) and third (76.7000) in the the Free routine, and third (76.3017) and second (76.4284) in the Duet Technical. 

The Uzbek team claimed all Team events gold medals (Team Technical 75.9284, Team Free 77.4000, Highlight 75.3667), but the Free Combination that was won by Slovakia with 75.8000.
