NIGHT
Hot
Chocolate Night Officially started last Thursday! Our
swimmers were very excited. Families please keep bringing
in snacks/treats to share. There is a list of items that we
REALLY NEED down below. Parents we still need more help in the
upcoming weeks serving our swimmers. The sign-up
sheet to help serve is hanging next to the Shark Tank.
Please sign-up to help out. Our swimmers look forward to Thursday
nights all winter long. Help us keep this tradition going.

NUTRITIONIST
Thursday, November 8th

(Senior, Junior 2 and Junior Groups)
This Thursday, November 8th from 4:30-6:30pm we will be
bringing in a Nutritionist to talk to our Senior, Junior
2 and Junior Grouper swimmers. Jaime Betters, a registered
dietitian, will be talking to our swimmers about eating healthy and
the effects your nutrition has on your swimming performance at
practice and at meets. Swimmers, make sure you bring
your food journals you have been keeping for the past week. Your
food journals should include the time you are eating/drinking, what
you are eating/drinking and how much you are eating/drinking.
VJO HELPS FEED THE
HUNGRY AND HOMELESS - Nov 11th 4-7pm
ONLY 3 MORE SPOTS AVAILIBLE
Come help VJO give back to the community. On Sunday,
November 11th from 4-7pm 15-20 VJO swimmers will be helping
out with the "Sparrow Project" and feeding the hungry and
homeless. This will take place at the 1st Baptist Church in
Vallejo. Our swimmers will help set up from 4-5pm, help serve food
from 5-6pm and then help clean up from 6-7pm. One of our
local schools, St. Cathrines will be cooking the food for us to
serve. This is a great way for our swimmers to get involved in
their community. Swimmers can also count this toward
their community service requirements for school.

PACIFIC SWIMMING
REGISTRATION - DUE NOV 1st
It's time for all VJO swimmers to renew their
Pacific Swimming Registration for the 2019 season. Families please
write a check ($73 per swimmer) made out to "PACIFIC
SWIMMING" and place in the Membership File
Folder at the pool. All checks are due by
November 1st 2018.

What is the Pacific Swimming
Registration Fee?
The Pacific Swimming Registration fee
provides the swimmer with a National Registration Number (USA
number), which is used when entering all swim meets, and USA
insurance coverage during workouts and meets. This
Registration is required each calendar year to renew membership to
Pacific Swimming.
USA Swimming no longer mails
out Registration/Membership cards. Once the member is in the
database, registration can be verified online and you can
print your own registration card through www.usaswimming.org/deckpass.
- Pacific Swimming also
participates in the USA Swimming Outreach Program and offers
registration at the USA Swimming registration fee of $5.00 with no
additional fees to Pacific Swimming. Valid September 1, 2018 -
December 31, 2019.
- Any change of address
or information, please fill up a new Pacific swimming registration
form attached.

PERSONALIZED VJO CAP
ORDERS

You have the opportunity to order personalized swim caps for your child or children and yourself. They
will be standard black team caps with white VJO logo and your name under
the logo. If you would like to order please select what you
want to on your cap. Place in
the “Team Attire” file folder with
your check (no cash please) made payable to “Vallejo
Aquatic Club”.
Cost:
Latex - $15.00/2 caps
Silicone - $30.00/2 caps
Orders must be turned in

HOW TO ORDER A TEAM SUIT OR TEAM
PARKA?
If you missed our last Team Suit Fitting Day don't worry, you
can order team suits, parka's and other VJO team gear at any
time. Just take an order form down to Making Waves Swim Shop
in Walnut Creek and you can place an order at any time. Make sure
you try on a team suit first. Order forms for team suits, team
parka's and team gear are attached below. Order Forms can also
be found on our team website and at the pool.

November 17-18th is CLOSED for
entries.
LOCATION:
Diablo Valley College Aquatic Center (321 Golf Club
Road, Pleasant Hill, CA 94523).
TIME:
Meet at Cunningham Pool
at 6:15am. We will get in to warm
up are a group at 7:30am and the meet will start at 9am.
TRAVELING
TOGETHER -
For Senior level meets our VJO swimmers travel
together. I will need two
parents to drive ALL our swimmers to the meet and back each day. Please email me if
you can be one of our drivers. We will meet at the Cunningham Pool at 6:15am each
morning. Parents, you are always welcome to come out and
cheer on our swimmers. Our Senior swimmers just need to travel together
as a team.
WINTER 14 & UNDER JUNIOR
OLYMPIC CHAMPS ***OPEN***
The
2018 Winter 14 & Under Junior Olympic Championships
is NOW OPEN for entries. The meet will
be held on Nov 30th-Dec 2nd at the Soda Aquatics Center at
Campolindo High School. Entries will closed as soon as the
time line has been reached. Sign-up ASAP as the meet couple
fill prior to the entry deadline. This is a qualifying
meet. The meet is only open to swimmers who have achieved the
Winter JO qualifying time standards.
SENIOR II CHAMPIONSHIPS ***NOW
OPEN***
The
2018 Senior II Champsionships Meet on Dec 8/9th is NOW OPEN for
entries online. This meet will be held at the DVC pool is Pleasant
Hill, CA. This meet is only open to qualified Senior Group
swimmers. Senior swimmers must have achieved a SR II time standard
to attent this meet. Sign up ASAP as this meet will FILL VERY VERY
QUICKLY.

December. This is also the last chance meet for Zone 3 Winter
Champs. This meet will be opening any day.
