AZOT successfully kicks off SCY Championship Season!

AZOT successfully kicks off SCY championship season with impressive swims @ AZOT Blue Champ!

Below 50F temperatures and a weekend-long downpour did not stop Aquazots from swimming their hardest at the team-hosted Spring Blue Championship meet that took place in Portola High on Feb 7-9, 2019.  Some even broke team records! All of AZOT swimmers found a way to keep warm and pumped-up by loudly cheering for their teammates! Way to go team!

Chilly and wet morning conditions also seemed to be ignored by our 11&Older swimmers who started with strong preliminary swims! Many of the swimmers earned their personal best times and quite a few made their way to finals.  11-12 Girls scored some good points for the team by coming back and swimming finals. Big thumbs up to the girls with 13 final swims, placing Top3 in quite a few of the races.  Besides the rain drops, we have seen many drops in their times!  11-12 Boys were on fire, making it to over 30 final races and earning PBs in most. We could not have such a great meet without our wonderful coaches! Your hard work did not go unnoticed! Special thanks to coach Brian who was on deck  all sessions, including distance swims.

And finally, our meet admins and set-up volunteers deserve a special gratitude!  Once again Aquazot family and coaches pulled together a great meet, while our swimmers brought a lot of effort and and great swims  to the swim deck, and,  most importantly,  showed a great deal of comradeship!
