Hollyburn PASS Meet Review

We had 26 Hollyburn Hurricanes take part in our Hollyburn PASS Meet this past Sunday! Congratulations to Cameron, C harlise, Garrick , Benjamin, Crystal, Albert , Li ly and Ryan who all participated in their first swim meet !  
 
Saige had an incredible swim in the 200m Individual Medley, racing to a time of 3:51.36 to easily get under the 4:00 LMR (Lower Mainland Region) time standard! Saige took off 25 seconds from her previous best time after putting in a lot of work the last few months determined to get her time! 
 
Our team was outstanding in the 200m Individual Medley, one of our main focus events. JayJay improved his time by 15 seconds to finish with a 4:04.46, well on his way to qualifying for LMR meets! Mikayla dropped 18 seconds off her previous best time! Both Yiyang and Chloe bettered their times by 10 seconds! Kai took off six seconds from his previous best time! Gavin swam his first 200m IM at the meet! We also had Emma and Roger swim really strong 100m Individual Medleys, both are ready to start racing the 200m distance!
 
We had a lot of first time swims at the meet, it's always a big accomplishment to race an event for the first time to start gaining experience and set a standard to improve at future meets. Emma raced her first 50m Butterfly! Dela, Aila and Rickie swam their first 50m Backstrokes! Aiden competed in his first 50m Freestyle! 
 
A few other impressive performances. Dela had big improvements in her 25m Breaststroke and 50m Freestyle! Nika had a great best time in the 50m Freestyle! Aiden took off over eight seconds in his 25m Backstroke! Edison really improved his 25m Breaststroke! Evelyn dropped over eight seconds in her 50m Breaststroke! Madelyn bettered her 25m Breaststroke by over five seconds!
