Good morning from the Glenwood newsroom. Here’s a rare Monday morning news bulletin.
DIVISION D RELAY CARNIVAL
Relay Carnival is today in Darnestown. This is the fastest-moving meet of the season and it decides which teams send relays to MCSL All-Stars.
We know the arrival time of 5:45 p.m. and the location, 15004 Spring Meadows Drive in Darnestown, are challenging. If you have extra space in your car and the ability to leave early, please consider meeting us at 4:30 p.m. at Glenwood for a Tiger carpool at 4:45. The Bowman family minivan will be there, with three extra seats and three working doors (don’t’ ask).
Bottom line? Whether you’re coming to Darnestown to swim or cheer, we’ll find a way to get you there.
Parents, if you know any swim-savvy Glenwood 15-18 teenagers who would like to earn extra money by teaching private swimming lessons this summer, please have them contact Karen Clark NO LATER than 6 p.m. tomorrow.
Those who are interested must provide their name, best contact information, previous swim-instruction experience, and the level(s) of swimmer they prefer to work with (pre-beginner, beginner, intermediate, advanced).
Even if you have been on the list of private-lesson instructors in previous years, you must reiterate your interest by tomorrow evening. More information about private lessons can be found here.
That’s all for today. Swim fast, Tigers!
