Y Hub Fins traveled to Biloxi this past weekend with 28 swimmers in tow, and while we were one of the smaller teams present, our team earned a beautiful 3rd place team trophy (out of 14 teams represented) for our efforts in the pool. We also had some pretty significant time-cuts that led to new personal best, B, BB, A, and even AA times!
As a result, Y Hub Fins will be traveling to Tupelo in a few short weeks for the State Long Course Championship Meet with the largest contingent of swimmers representing our team in a number of years! Jessica Amaya, Gabrielle Baldwin, Jonathan Baldwin, Avery Borbash, Ethan Fowler, Sam Line, Alex Miller, Ashlyn Minga, and Sam Stewart have all earned the right to respresent our team in a multitude of events at the state meet, and we can’t wait to cheer them on! Congrats to Sam Line and Avery Borbash for making their first state qualifying time at the Biloxi meet!
Congratulations to every swimmer who participated in the meet this weekend...your hard work at practice paid off in a big way, and we are proud of you! And to our incredible families who supported their children, our team, and our coaches this past weekend...thank you! The success of our team is made stronger because of your time, commitment, and enthusiasm.
