RENO Team Partners
High Country Information

Good Afternoon,

I apologize for the delay in this email.

The High Country Championships is this weekend in Minden! RENO will have 30 swimmers participating in the meet. Susan S., Susan W., and Vanessa will be coaching at the meet. We are looking forward to a great weekend to end our 2018/2019 swim season! Below is information regarding the meet. Please contact me with any questions.

Format of the Meet

The meet is a prelims and finals meet for swimmers 11 and older. They will swim prelims in the morning and the top-16 in each event for each age group (11-12, 13-14, 15-up) will swim in finals. The distance freestyle events (500, 1000, 1650 freestyles) will be a timed final.

For 10-unders, there will be NO finals. All events will be a timed final. 10-unders will swim their timed finals during the prelims session for the older kids.

When to Arrive

Please arrive at 6:50 AM each morning. Warm-ups start at 7 AM and the meet starts at 8:30 AM. The start for finals will be determined at the meet. Please have your swimmer check with a coach for when they need to return for finals and/or if they qualified.

Timing Assignments

RENO has been assigned timing chairs. Please step-up and volunteer, so we do not have the same parents having to time for the entire meet. It takes a lot of help to run a smooth meet, and I want to be sure we are doing our part by providing timers.
