October 4 Update and Reminders

NNA Families,

Normal Practices today with the exception of Caughlin Club practice will be moved to Northwest pool at 6pm.  

This weekend we will not have practices due to the CCA Spooktacular meet in Roseville.  No practice Saturday or Sunday.

Normal practices will commence again on October 7th.  All normal practices during the fall break for Washoe County Schools.  

Saturday October 12 10am-12pm.  NNA Swim and Stroke clinic at Northwest pool.  We will have some special guests to help our swimmers out with some new and old stroke techniques and drills.  Please welcome UNR swimmers Rebecca Murray and Jamie Reynolds.  This clinic is open to all NNA athletes.  The clinic will be held instead of normal practice.

October 18-20.  Reno Fall Classic in Carson City.  Get those entries in.  It is the last meet to qualify for the Nevada State Championships.  Meet sheet attached.  There will be no practices on Friday October 18th, Saturday October 19th or Sunday October 20th.

Friday October 25th.  Nevada Day schedule for the pools.  Practices 10:00am-12:00pm for ALL groups at Northwest pool.  There will be no other practices offered this day.

Saturday October 26 NNA Novice meet at Northwest pool.  10am-1pm.  For all swimmers who don't have much meet experience.  This event will be held instead of normal team practice.  Meet sheet is attached

Saturday November 30th.  Our third annual Burn the Bird Endurance Challenge and Swim a Thon.  This year we will be offering rewards for amount raised per swimmer.  All info out shortly.


Breast Cancer Awareness month.  Please get your pink team t shirts and wear them proudly this month.  We still have the 2019 shirts available for sale.  Please ask your coach and they will get you one.  they are $20 each.

Just a note that we are the only swim program in Northern Nevada that is affiliated with the USA Swimming Foundation.  It is the charitable arm of USA Swimming.  A portion of our swim a thon donations go to high risk and in need swimmers.  You should all be proud that we make a difference not only in our community but nationwide as well.
