2020 All Star
Team!
Congratulations to our 12 VJO
swimmers that qualified and competed in the Zone All Star Meet
last weekend in Santa Clara. These swimmers were selected as the
top 8 swimmers in their age group in Zone 3 and had the
privilege to represent our Zone 3 All Star Team in a meet
against the other 4 Zones in Pacific Swimming. Great
job Kareesha Singh (7yrs), Kainoa Kalama
(8yrs), Declan Panlilio (8yrs), Ysabelle Caranza
(10yrs), Anna Efe (10yrs), Raffy Cueva (11

Cunningham Pool Repairs
Underway!
The Cunningham Pool repairs are underway! Look how much they have
already done. Just imagine how amazing our pool is going to look in
June 2020!

SR/JR2/JR Saturday Morning Practice - March 7th
8-10am
There will be Senior, Junior 2 and Junior
Group practice this Saturday, March 7th from 8-10am at
the Napa Valley College Pool. This is an optional practice and is a
great chance to make up a practice of get an extra workout
in.
REMINDER - NEW PRACTICE TIMES AT SOLANO
COLLEGE
Started - Monday,
February 24th 2020
As you all know by now, the Cunningham Pool is now
CLOSED for much needed repairs. Vallejo Aquatic Club will be
practicing at the Solano College during this time.
Beginning Monday, February 24th through June 30th our swim team will be swimming at the Solano Community College Pool. The Solano Community College Pool is located at 4000 Suisun Valley Rd, Fairfield, CA 94534. Listed below are the practice times for all groups.

*Our team will be responsible for
covering the pool after practice. This will involve pulling the
tarps across the pool. From 7:30-7:45pm all groups (except
Hammerheads 1) will be tarping the pool.
Please feel free to reach out to Coach Jennifer or any of
our board members if you have any questions. We understand that
there are going to be some inconveniences and if there is anything
we can do for your family during this time please let us know.
Please keep in mind that this change is just temporary and the
facility that we will be coming back to at the end of June, will
not only look amazing, but will be state of the art.
PARKING AT SOLANO
COLLEGE:
A parking permit or daily meter ticket is required to
park on Solano Community College grounds. It is your
responsibility to make sure your vehicle has the required permit,
clearly displayed, while parked on campus. Parking permits are
required each semester and during the summer session whenever
classes are in session between the hours of 7:00 AM &
10:00 PM. Permits are not required on weekends or recognized
holidays.
You have TWO OPTIONS for purchasing PARKING PASSES:
1. $2 Daily Parking Permit - Around the perimeter of the campus, on the outside edge of each parking lot, are large parking permit pay stations. For $2 (cash only) you can purchase a permit good for the entire day. You must have two one dollar bills or two dollars in nickels, dimes and/or quarters.
2. Semester Parking Pass - You may purchase a “semester decal” which you place on the lower left, driver’s side of your windshield. This decal is good for the entire semester and costs $32. You can purchase this decal on-line using a credit or debit card at: https://www.credentialsops.com/CGI-BIN/gacgiord.pgm?ALUMPP001292. If you opt to purchase a semester decal on-line please be sure to have a printer available as you will have the option of printing a temporary permit to use while you wait for the decal to arrive in the mail.
Important information regarding parking at Solano Community College:
1. There are several visitor’s parking spaces available in lots 1 & 4 where you can park for 30 minutes without charge.
This option can be used once in a 4-hour period and is strictly enforced.
2. There is never to be any parking or “waiting” in a red curbed area.
3. There is no “Inner Campus” parking allowed. Please stay in marked student parking lots.

SUN MARCH 29th
Join us for our Annual VJO Spaghetti Feed, Bingo Game and
Dessert Contest on Sunday, March 29th from 2-5pm at the
ACHS Cafeteria. Please invite your family and
friends to join us for some good food and fun, while helping VJO
raise some money in the process. Make sure you RSVP online on
our team website.

CONTEST: Swimmers create and enter your best dessert
in the dessert contest to win a prize. The coaches will be judging

GAME: That's right we're playing BINGO again
this year! Get ready to have some fun and win some great prizes.
Bring your daubers its $1 a Bingo card or $5 for 6 cards. Make
sure to bring your own dauber or item to mark your Bingo
cards

POLAR BEAR CLUB - Extended Through
March!
The Polar
Bear Club has been extended through March! Keep your attendance up
in March and you can earn a Polar Bear Club pin and Sticker.
The VJO coaching staff will track daily practice attendance and
award participation based on swimmers attendance to
practice and events. VJO will provide prizes for those meeting
qualifying levels.
The Polar Bear Club will run through the end of
March
.
Although
we encourage all team members to attend as many practices as
possible, each practice group will have attendance prize
requirements on a sliding scale to reflect the monthly expectations
of each group. Prizes will be given out to swimmers monthly.
