Swimmers & Parents!
Below are Coach Jennifer and
Coach Maureen's Workout YouTube videos for this week with step by
step instructions. Coach Maureen and Coach Jennifer will be doing
the 30 minute Tabata Video or the 30 minute Strength and
Conditioning Video 4 to 5 times a week. We will be doing the 5
minute Ab Workout w/ 12-Time Olympic Medalist Dara Torres 3 to 4
times a week. We will also be doing the 10 minute Post Workout
Stretching Video 2-3 times a week to help maintain our
flexibility.
In addition to the videos, Coach
Jennifer goes for a 1 hour walk or bike ride each day with her dog
and family. Coach Maureen also hikes with her dog Cali each
day.

WEEKLY ZOOM MEETINGS FOR
ALL GROUPS!
We will be continuing our Weekly Zoom Video Group Meetings for
all groups! The Zoom meetings have been going great and it is
wonderful to be able to check in with our swimmers weekly. These
meetings will help keep our swimmers connected during these
changing times. It also allows our coaching staff to check in with
our swimmers and keep them motivated and inspired with their
workouts. Each group will have 2 weekly Zoom meetings (every Monday
and Thursday). Below is the schedule for each group's Weekly Zoom
Meetings. Security enhancements for Zoom Meeting have increased.
All meetings now have the waiting room feature automatically turned
on and password enabled.

WEEKLY CHALLENGE -
MOST CREATIVE SALAD
We know many have you been showing off your awesome baking
skills lately, but now we want to see your salad making skills!
This week we are challenging all swimmers to make their most
creative salad. Snap a picture of your salad and send it to your
coach. Remember the more color in your salad the better! You
can send pictures to Coach Jennifer at [email protected]
or Coach Maureen at [email protected].
We can’t wait to see what you guys come up with!

LEAGUE
May 8th COMPETITION RECAP
Our Week #2 of “Solano County Swim League” Online
Challenges was a success. Thank you to Alex Grant, Olivia
Pettit, Zach Raymond and Eliana Matteo for representing
our team in the challenges. You guys did amazing! Thank you as well
to our two phenomenal announcers Anna Reyes and
Mackenzie Kawashiri. Our team definitely had the
best announcers. Thank you ladies! Finally, thank you to all the
VJO swimmers that logged onto the Zoom and cheered on your
teammates!
LOGO CONTEST
RESULTS
The winner for the Solano County Swim League Logo Contest was
Trinity Rivera from SASO. Thank you to the
four VJO Swimmers who submitted their logos; Louisa
McQuilling, Desmond Panlilio, Ellen Goncharov and Liam
Ruszel. Your logo designs were amazing and thank you for
representing VJO in the logo design contest. You guys did awesome!

DINNER FUNDRAISER
Largest Amount Raised Yet!
Thank you to everyone that participated in our third Dinner
Delivered to Your Door Fundraiser on May 4th & 6th. With your
help our team raised over $640. This is the
largest amount we have raised yet. We couldn't do this
without all of you. This money will help keep our team going and
coaching staff employed during this time. A special "Thank
you!" to the Panlilio Family for creating and putting on this
event.
