First Week - News and Schedule

Hi everyone -

We wanted to share information about the start of the Somerset Dolphins season next week. Our goal is to provide an opportunity for our swimmers and swim team community to have fun this summer while ensuring the number one priority continues to be the health and safety of our community.

Please read this entire message as it contains a lot of critical information.

General Schedule Information

We will try our best to get the weekly schedule out via email by Saturday of the previous week. We'll also try to publish a calendar with future dates, but please note that the schedule will likely change as circumstances and health guidance change.

  • Generally speaking, we'll hold practices out-of-water and in-water (when permitted) between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. from Monday through Saturday. Please note that once the pool opens, it’s likely each swimmer will have limited time in the pool. For instance, swimmers may be assigned a short, 30 minute practice time two or three days per week.

  • We'll also hold social and spirit activities at various times and dates throughout the season.

Schedule This Week

Although Montgomery County may move into Phase 2 reopening next week, which could allow outdoor pools to reopen for lap swimming, we are planning this coming week for an out-of-water dryland and exercise programming. Until we know what specific restrictions Montgomery County will announce for outdoor pools, we cannot plan for any in-water practice. In addition, it will take the Town’s pool company time to implement those restrictions and receive a permit to re-open.
