Weekly News: Sept 21-27

Hello to all Panther Swimmers,

Happy Monday everyone, it is week 2 of backstroke for our ES swimmers and I.M. week for our MS/HS swimmers. We have a full week of training without any holidays or days off, so let’s make some headway this week.

Hope everyone got their caps and shirts last week if you didn’t please speak to your squad coach and they will sort you out.

Congratulations to all of our basketball players that played in the ISB U11 tournament this past weekend. It was great to see so many swimmers trying other sports and becoming multi-athletes.

Important Notes:

PB Champs for our first meet:

Here are our Personal Best Champions from the Kickoff Meet held early this month. The awards are given to the swimmers who improve their personal best swims by the most time.

Well done! Your photo is on the wall at the 50m pool.

9&10: Penn Chantaramporn, Chelsea Lee and Jenis Sunthornrangsri.

Change to our annual fundraiser: Panther Swim-a-thon…SWIM TO PHUKET! October 12th and 14th.

With our host country facing a terrible hit to its financial wellbeing, we think that our annual fundraising should be even more important to our swim community. But because of our Covid restrictions we cannot have the traditional Swim-a-thon of years past. We will still raise funds for distance swum, but this year we are doing it as a team and over two practices. It is the team goal of having our squads swim their way to PHUKET! 844 km in two days to be exact. That is an average of about 3-4 KM per swimmer.

Meets to sign up for:

Fall Panther Jr. Palooza (10 and under swimmers who can swim 25m) October 6th 2:45pm

Fall Panther Sr. Palooza (11 and over swimmers) October 7th 3:30pm

See you on deck!
