SPY vs KEY Virtual Dual Meet Report

SPY vs KEY Virtual Dual Meet Report

SPYNATION’s first ‘MASKastic’ meet of our 2020-21 was a great kickoff. Seventy-two swimmers competed and began their racing journey as well as following the COVID-19 safety precautions. It had been since late February and early March of 2020 since our swimmers have been in meet competition, so it was great to have the opportunity once again to experience reading heat sheets, hearing the starting buzzer, cheering for teammates, and reporting to the blocks to race it up. Our first livestream of a SPY home meet on Facebook. Coaches and Y Staff truly appreciated everyone ‘s support and understanding as we navigated through our meet format and COVID-19 rules. The gratitude that coaches heard from swimmers and families made these small challenges worthwhile. Coaches really appreciated everyone wearing our Team swim caps too.
