Weekly News: Swimfest Edition

Hello to all Panther Swimmers,

Congratulations to our swimmers who competed at the Thailand National Qualifier meet at Patana this past weekend. Hopefully we will find out how many swimmers qualified sooner than later.

This is a very exciting week; it is finally time for our first home meet! This Saturday will not be as big as our usual Swimfest invitational, but it will still be nice to have a team visit our ISB pool.

Our 7-10 year old’s will swimming in the morning and then our 11 and over swimmers will go in the afternoon. Our ISB parents are allowed to watch the swim meet, just not from the deck or the bleachers. Only ISB and Patana swimmers will be allowed on deck. Parents will have to be up on the second floor watching.

You can sign up for this still, just has to be before Tuesday!

Important Notes:

Pep Rally Swim Practices with High School swimmers as coaches (Friday, Nov 6th):

Our regular swim practices at the 50m pool will have new coaches on this Friday. To get us all pumped up for the Patana dual meet on Saturday, our High School swimmers will be lending their knowledge and skills to our 10 and under squads.

They will be teaching the younger athletes about race prep and what to do prior to the actual swim meets. Then they will get hands during some relay dive instruction.

If this is not your training day, please feel free to come and join in the extra practice.

Meets to sign up for:

  1. Swimfest Dual Meet with Patana: Nov 7th
  2. Long Distance Time Trials (afterschool at ISB) Nov 30
  3. Patana Christmas Cracker (National Qualifier) Dec 12/13

See you on deck!
