FROM GENERAL CHAIR, Bob Keller - Second Round of PPP Funding Available

The weekly USAS Videocon reminded all LSC’s that the Federal Government passage of the second COVID relief act includes a new Payroll Protection Program (PPP).  This is available to all small businesses whether or not that business participated in round 1 last summer.  As in 2020, the program will provide loans that will be forgiven if the conditions are met.  There is also an Economic Injury Disaster Load (EIDL) program associated that allows grants up to $10,000.  USAS recommends that each organization contact the same lender if the organization participated in the first PPP program or your normal financial organization if this will be the first application.  USAS will also provide reference banks / financial institutions if assistance is needed.
