Minnetonka traveled to the Eden Prairie Community Center on Friday, February 5, where they were unable to bypass the Eagles, losing 93-92.

In the 200 Medley Relay, the Skippers opened earning points in second and third places. Ryan McGuirk, Carson Witte, Ben Binder, and Ben Keller swam 1:38.00 for second place. Evan Witte, Cole Mizutani, Jayanth Kurup and Xander Hawks were third swimming 1:41.86, while Carter Lawin, Gus Johanson, William Poey and Graham Muench were fifth. Luke Edwards, Sean Studenski, Myonghai Choi, and Isaac McFall swam 1:48.69 in exhibition.

Knute Wargin placed second in the 200 Yard Freestyle, swimming 1:48.75. Jacob Guggisberg was fourth with a time of 1:50.55, and Henry Rosenhagen fifth swimming 1:51.05. Ryan Diede swam 1:51.81 in exhibition. 

In the 200 Yard IM, Binder placed third swimming 1:59.64, followed by McGuirk swimming 2:01.46 for fourth place and Johanson in fifth swimming 2:05.12 Edwards swam 2:08.08 in exhibition.

Keller led the Skippers in the 50 Yard Freestyle with a second-place finish in 22.56. Hawks was third swimming 22.97, with Andres Mallea fifth swimming 23.13 and Evan Witte swimming 23.51 in exhibition.

In diving, Oliver Poitevent, Andrew Bussmann, and Trey Maroney swept first through third with 240.45 points, 211.30 points, and 190.20 points respectively.

Binder’s time of 53:47 placed him third in the 100 Yard Butterfly. Kurup was fourth swimming 56.61, and Poey fifth swimming 56.73. Choi swam 57.26 in exhibition.

Carson Witte placed second in the 100 Yard Freestyle with a time of 49.78. Mallea is fourth swimming 50.43, and Hawks fifth swimming 51.17. Diede swam 50.11 in exhibition.

Henry Rosenhagen won the 500 Yard Freestyle swimming 4:57.91. Guggisberg placed third swimming 5:03.73, and Leo Rosenhagen placed sixth swimming 5:13.89. Max Louie swam 5:18.19 in exhibition.

Minnetonka won the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay as Binder, Carson Witte, Mallea and Wargin swam 1:28.90. Hawks, Muench, Diede and Guggisberg swam 1:33.33 for third place. Choi, Kurup, Henry Rosenhagen and Louie were fifth swimming 1:36.54.

In the 100 Yard Backstroke, Keller was third swimming 54.54. McGuirk was fourth swimming 54.86, and Edwards sixth swimming 58.16. Evan Witte swam 58.50 in exhibition.

Carson Witte was second swimming 59.35 in the 100 Yard Breaststroke, followed by Wargin in third place swimming 59.70, and Mizutani in fourth swimming 1:02.48. Johanson swam 1:06.19 in exhibition.

Minnetonka placed second in the 400 Yard Freestyle as Keller, McGuirk, Mallea and Wargin swam 3:21.03, followed by Diede, Guggisberg, Louie and Henry Rosenhagen swimming 3:23.90 for third place. Evan Witte, Kurup, Leo Rosenhagen and Johanson were fifth swimming 3:31.29.

Minnetonka hosts Mound, Westonka and Orono on Tuesday, February 8 at the Minnetonka Aquatic Center.
