  1. Call to Order
  1. President’s Report – Case Spencer
  • New contracts need to go out to the coaches soon.
  • Salary for the coaches will stay the same.
  • Coach Lelei is working on her getting her certifications.
  • 2020 tax forms should go out to the coaches within the next week.
  • Holding off (for now) on getting a new equipment shed at Mira Costa.
  1. Head Coach Issues – John York
  • Expecting more pool hour changes at Mira Costa in mid-February.
  • Redondo Union is now letting their high school swimmers in the pool. They are not yet allowing outside swim teams use the pool. There is no timeline for when this will occur.
  • John spoke with the City of Manhattan Beach this morning. There is no word yet on when LA County will be lifting the restriction of one swimmer per lane.
  • John said that workouts have gone well. Kids have been good at keeping their masks on and following the social distance requirements.
  • John is going to hold on to the workout registration sheets that show who signed up and who actually showed up for workouts.
  1. Membership - Michelle Brill, Kelley Mayeda (absent)
  • Swimmer who tested positive for COVID-19 turned in their medical clearance to return to swim.
  1. Treasurer – David McDaniel
  • David thought it would be a nice morale booster to give the kids new swim caps. Case second the motion. Board approved (5-0). David is going to contact the Swim Guy to purchase them.
  • Holding off on raising the fees. Current rates (per workout): $10 – C swimmers, $12 – B & A swimmers, and $14 Senior swimmers.
  1. Meet/sign up coordinator – Drew Davidoff
  • Nothing new.
