CMA Places 2nd at Maine Winter Champs

This past weekend, our swimmers competed at the 2021 MESI Winter Championships in Bath. I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate all the athletes that competed! They swam their hearts out under conditions that were really grueling. There were situations where swimmers only had 3 minutes rest before having to get back up on the blocks for another race. They truly showed resilience, dedication and maturity at the meet and did I mention that their punctuality was better than ever. They showed up each day, focused and ready to swim!

After a few years of placing 5th overall, CMA improved by 3 places and pulled off a 2nd place finish and with that the MESI Winter Champs overall runner-up award. Further to this, our boys team won their division by beating LRSC by 120 points.

Calvin Comeau achieved his first Speedo Futures cut as part of the CMA 400 Free Relay consisting of Ethan Schulz, Keegan McKenney, Ethan Smith and Comeau. There were also pool records for Keegan McKenney (500 free & 400 IM) and Ethan Schulz (200 free). Keegan McKenney won the 15/18 boys High Point award (128 points) with Ethan Schulz a close 2nd (126 points). In the 13/14 girls High Point section, Lucy Shaw placed 2nd and Hope Taylor 3rdoverall.
