Important Information: Upcoming meet June 25-27
June 9, 2021 |
Parents:
Next month the Junior Olympics / Bill Rose Classic will be held on the weekend of July 17th.
In order to swim in that meet a qualifying time must be achieved during a USA Swimming event. This Saturday's meet will count, but there is only one additional opportunity before the Junior Olympics deadline.
That opportunity will be in Woodland on the weekend of June 25-27 and click here to see that meet format and schedule of swim events.
The meet will open for online registration through a website
called ome.swimconnection.com (NOT THROUGH OUR TEAM
SITE). HOW TO REGISTER

Information
regarding the JOs or Bust: Last Chance
Qualifier hosted by the Woodland Swim Team:
The Woodland Swim Team
will be holding a Last Chance Qualifier the weekend of June
25th-27th. We expect this meet to open on OME in the next few days
(aiming for Wednesday) but wanted to provide swimmers and their
families some information regarding how this meet will
operate.
- The meet will be open
all SN swimmers and will be capped at 300 swimmers on
Friday and 380
swimmers each Saturday and Sunday
session or when it is estimated sessions with swimmers 12
& Under will exceed 4 hours.
- Swimmers are limited to
a maximum of four (4) events per day on Saturday and Sunday; two
(2) events per swimmer on Friday; for a total maximum of ten (10)
events during the meet. The 1650 Free will be limited to the first
50 swimmers. WE EXPECT THIS MEET TO FILL
QUICKLY.
- Face coverings
will be required while not participating in the
activity (e.g., on the sidelines). All participants,
Coaches, Officials, and Team Volunteers must maintain a distance of
six (6) feet apart while at the pool facility. Extra Marshals
will be on deck and in the swimmer area to ensure COVID-19 safety
guidelines are being followed. While this is a lot of swimmers on
deck at once, we will have the deck set-up to reduce clusters of
kids as much as possible.
- NO
PARENTS, other than Coaches, Officials and Team Volunteers
will be allowed in the pool facility. The Meet will be
videoed and made available to all participants and their families.
Information regarding access to live stream video will be emailed
to all participants prior to meet.
