B Meet Results/New Team Record/Weekly Announcements

Someone asked me what three things I would save if my house was on fire.  I said my cat, my salamander, and one of the twins.” – Ricky Gervais

We had a great B Meet at Parliament last night, didn’t we?  And if seeing our Tropical Storms paddling across the diving well didn’t bring you to your feet, you have no heart whatsoever.  Final results are attached to this email and posted in the Documents section of our TeamUnify webpages.  Special recognition to Miss Zoe Dunn, who set ANOTHER TEAM RECORD in the Girls 13-14 100M IM event with a time of 1.15.26. Great job to all swimmers!

Here is a preview of the many, many things coming up in the next week:

Wednesday Evening – Relay Carnival at Rolling Forest Pool.  If your swimmer is participating on a relay team, you have already received a separate email from us with details.  Otherwise, you’re off the hook!

Fun Friday Practice and Pancake Breakfast – Practice will be at 9:00am for all swimmers who normally attend the 7:45/8:45/9:45 practices.  Tropical Storms will practice from 10:00am – 10:30am.  Parents are invited to help Heidi and Natalie make a simple pancake breakfast during the 9 o’clock hour and have it ready to serve at 10:00am.  Pancakes, toppings, fruit, and juice will be provided.  We need parents to bring plug-in skillets, mixing bowls/spoons and spatulas.  Bring it all to the middle deck at 9:00am and we’ll go full-on Top-Chef-Annandale.

Family Potluck Dinner and Pep Rally begins at 6:00pm on Friday.  Baked Potato Time!  Food assignments are by family last name: Holmes Run Acres Hurricanes : Event (teamunify.com)

Note: the Team Reps will provide all the baked potatoes!

A - G: Dessert: fruit or baked items

All masked swimmers are encouraged to take regular "breaks" by distancing themselves from others, removing their mask for fresh air and drinking plenty of fluids.  If they begin to feel overheated, dizzy, or weak, they should keep their mask on and get the attention of a coach immediately.

Whew,

Heidi and Natalie
