July 9, 2021
Greetings from the Glenwood newsroom.
We have an A-meet at Glenwood tomorrow morning, parents, and we need your help to ensure it runs smoothly.
We still need a clerk-of-course and an assistant clerk-of-course to get the swimmers lined up and sent to their races on time. We would also appreciate two more volunteers for concessions.
Working the home meets is a great way to fulfill your volunteer obligation and we greatly appreciate your help. Please email Team Rep. Roland Schrebler if you can do one of these jobs.
The Glenwood Tigers are competing against the Woodley Gardens Waves at our final home A-meet tomorrow, July 10. As always, please help us be good hosts and leave the main parking lot at Glenwood for our guests.
Going into the weekend, Clarksburg Village occupies the top spot in the Division C standings, while Glenwood is tied for second place with two other teams—Woodley Gardens and Old Georgetown. The meet program is here and the MCSL division standings are here.
It will be another great match-up for the Tigers, but the real story of the weekend is our graduating seniors of 2021.
The celebration begins today at 6:30 p.m. at Glenwood with a “Senior Send-Off” pep rally for Jack Bowman, Molly Benson, Celia Ford, Brigid Mulholland, Jacob Laas, Joseph Zenick, Emma Frank, Sarah Butchko, Will Ginter, Taylor Rubin, Meghan Simpson, Ryan McGovern, and Olivia Schrebler.
Then, on Saturday morning at the meet, we celebrate Senior Day at Glenwood with a half-time ceremony in recognition of the 13 graduates. Grab your shades, Glenwood fans, because the future sure looks bright!
Here are some more swim dates to put on your calendars:
