Wow! 4-1 in Division C! Great job Saturday! And the Glenwood Gods continued to deliver by parting the skies for the Glenwood Dance. Everything is breaking our way as we head into our final full week of the season, ending with the Divisionals Championship meet at Damascus on Saturday. The Divisionals lineup is pasted below the update. If you are in the lineup and can NOT swim we need to know right away.
Monday & Tuesday:
--Between this past Saturday’s A-Meet and this
Wednesday’s B-Meet, swimmers may compete in any stroke they
did NOT do this past Saturday and are NOT scheduled to compete in
at Divisionals next Saturday. If you cannot be at practice email
your requests to Coach Kelly by 7:00pm Tuesday
evening.
Wednesday:
-- PRE-TEAM FREESTYLE & BACKSTROKE EXTRAVAGANZA . 11 -- 11:30am. Come cheer on the future of Glenwood (and enjoy a $1 breakfast)!
--AWAY B-Meet vs Rock Creek (8619 Grubb Road). We are still awaiting information from Rock Creek as to a warmup time and start time. We will email this out along with additional information about Divisionals later this week.
--THEME: Glenwood Nails - Swimmers can paint their nails ahead of time or at the meet (please bring your own nail paint or markers). Coaches will reward impressive nails.
Thursday:
--We encourage ALL swimmers to still come to practice -- not just those in Divisionals. We will pass out Jolly Ranchers for best times at the B Meet and work on skills needed for the next age group (Example: 8 & Unders work on flip turns).
Friday:
--Last Fun Day Friday! All swimmers should attend!
6:30pm PEP RALLY: Theme - MR & MS GLENWOOD
--Sign up in advance as individuals or groups. Contestants will be judged on their Glenwood Fashion, Glenwood Spirit, and Glenwood Trivia Knowledge. Winners hold eternal bragging rights.
Saturday:
--DIVISIONALS at Damascus ( 25730 Woodfield Rd, Damascus, MD)
--Each team sends 2 swimmers to compete in each event to help decide the final rankings in Division C.
--Prepare for an early morning. We will send more specific
information after the official meeting on Monday night. We will
meet in our team area at Damascus. The meet starts at 8am (not 9am)
and we will likely be assigned the 7:30 warmup
