PSC Welcomes Olympic Swimmer Colleen Furgeson!

The Piranhas Family welcomes Colleen Furgeson to the Piranhas Swim Club. Colleen will be joining us as an athlete in the water as well as a coach on the pool deck!

Ms. Furgeson is from the Republic of the Marshall Islands who recently moved to the Quad Cities. She graduated from Lincoln College with a bachelor's degree in Sports Management. Colleen is currently working on her masters degree at Western Illinois University.
Furgeson has been competitively swimming for about 8 years. She specializes in freestyle and backstroke. Colleen was named team captain at Lincoln College. Ms. Furgeson represents the Marshall Islands at international competitions. She is currently training under Coach Michael and his staff for the Short Course World Championships held in the United Arab Emirates, Abu Dhabi.
Some of Colleen Furgeson's accomplishments include:
- 2 Olympic Games (Rio 2016 & Tokyo 2021)
- 7 Short Course and Long Course World Championships (2013-2021)
- 5 school records at Lincoln College
- Top 16 swimmer: NJCAA and NAIA National Qualifier
- Lincoln College Female Athlete of the Year
- CSCAA Scholar All-American
