Richmond Distance Meet Recap

Five Hurricanes raced at the Richmond Rapids Distance Meet this past weekend. The swimmers are in a big training block right now and it was great to see solid racing while they build their work in the pool.

Ashton did a great job holding his splits in the 400m Freestyle to end up with a 15 second improvement! He also had great length on his strokes and a big finish to take off 13 seconds in his 400m Individual Medley.

Rafael was aggressive in his 400m Freestyle dropping 11 seconds off his time. He also had an outstanding 400m Individual Medley showing improvement in all four strokes and racing 20 seconds off his best time!

Henry, Tristan and Thea all had really solid swims for this time of the season in both 400m events. Henry really brought home his 400m Individual Medley for a best time! Tristan and Thea showed a lot of speed in their races and are setting up for some very fast racing through the rest of the season.

Our team is now heading to the Langley Invitational Meet to continue to work on their race strategies. These five swimmers will have the advantage of already doing their 400m events for this month!
