2022 Southern Divisional Championship Recap

2022 Southern Divisional Recap

The 2022 Southern Divisional Championship was held last weekend, and our team had a great meet - We brought home to H.O.G. and placed 3rd overall! Thank you to all of our swimmers for their efforts both throughout the season and at the meet. Thank you to our parents for dedicating up to 3 days to attending the meet. We'd also like to give a special shout-out to all of our team parents who volunteered to time, and our fantastic Stroke & Turn officials, Cathy Fortson and Brittany Wilson! Your willingness to volunteer helped the meet to be a better experience for the whole team.

Congratulations to Tucker Wilson and Muhammad Abouelmagd, for winning the 13-14 and 11-12 Boys high point awards. We also want to recognize our team's top 10 point earners (there was a tie, so it's top 11!):

Tucker Wilson (212 pts, 13-14 Boys)
Ella Snow (167 pts, 13-14 Girls)
Annelise Freeman (159 pts, 8 & Under Girls)
Muhammad Abouelmagd (159 pts, 11-12 Boys)
Hudson Foote (153 pts, 8 & Under Boys)
Morgan Miller (145 pts, 13-14 Girls)
Ean Harrison (142 pts, 11-12 Boys)
Zachariah Hickey (136 pts, 15 & Over Boys)
Mallory Fortson ( 126 pts, 11-12 Girls)
Haylie OGorman (101 pts, 8 & Under Girls)
Kira Andrews (101 pts, 13-14 Girls)

ALL of our swimmers had a FANTASTIC meet and we are so proud of every one of you!!

We won the Coaches' Challenge and took 75 swimmers to Divisionals. Our friends at Sunset Slush will be at the pool Thursday evening at 6 to help us celebrate! Blue 1 swimmers should also attend. Each swimmer will receive a voucher from their coach for a free slush. (Additional slushes will be available for purchase.)

Because we won the H.O.G., Coach Wes has decided we can have a pool party during the later practice time. Bring your favorite float, relax with your teammates, and enjoy the feeling of accomplishment from all your hard work this season.

Ribbons from the Divisional Meet will be handed out during the party.

*Parents, we know siblings may want to participate, but pool access is still restricted to WRA swimmers only.
