Clippers Continue Successful Championship Season


Currently the Clippers have 5 swimmers participating in the Central Zone Championships in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin and 5 swimmers in Irvine, California for the USA Nationals and Junior Nationals. Both trips have gotten off to a great start.

Senior Nationals

Participants: Krissie Brandenburg, Mary Bank, Ellen Williamson and Caitlyn Forman

Ellen Williamson got the meet going for the Clippers with her fastest non-tech suit 100 free. Ellen moved up from 116th seed to the 93rd seed. She was just .14 off her life time best time. Ellen felt very good after the race and is very confident going into Junior Nationals next week. This swim marked the 1st time a Clipper competed at Nationals in the 100 freestyle.

Sidenote: Clipper Alumni, Cory Chitwood impressed the crowd last night with a win in the consolation heat of the 200 IM from lane 1. His time currently ranks him top 40 in the world. This morning Cory finished 7th in prelims of the 200 back putting him in the top 30 in the world in this event. Live Results
