Dear PVAC Swimmers, Families and Friends,


Welcome back!  The 2010-2011 swim season looks to be another exciting one for our team.  Team try-out day for new members is on Wednesday, August 25th at the Palos Verdes High School pool at 5:00pm.  There will be a modified practice/workout that evening for all returning swimmers.  Full practice will begin on Thursday, August 26th at 5:00pm (the 5:00pm start is only until August 31st - after that our practices start at 5:30pm).

Remember that your initial or annual registration fee is due, along with your dues.  Checks are made payable to:  PVAC.  Please refer to the "Documents" in the header portion of our website.  You will find the PVAC 2010-2011 Dues, Swim group descriptions and Try-Out/Registration forms. 

The USS membership forms need to be signed and updated as necessary.  IF you are NEW to the team, we need to verify your swimmer(s) birthdate(s) so please bring your ORIGINAL birth certificate or passport.  The team representative will be there to have you complete the necessary paperwork and verify your information.

Team Announcements: 

Check out the changes to the swim groups!  Swim groups, practice days and times have been reviewed and revised by the coaching staff.  Please check out the attached list to see which group you're assigned to.  A note to NEW swimmers, after your try-out you will be assigned to your workout group.

We have revised the Green Group to a one hour practice on Monday/Wednesday/Friday ONLY and we have added a Masters/Adult Swim Group (yes parents - we listened to you!) also a one hour practice on Tuesday/Thursday/Friday ONLY .

As always, we have kept in mind the current economic challenges in our fee structure.   The monthly fees have been structured to reflect the practice times and days for each swim group.  In most cases, the monthly fee increased $5 to $10.  The Tri-Pay Plan was also revised and reflects a $20 increase for the four month period it covers. 

A reminder that it's high school water polo season which means we will have some days that we are not working out at PV High School.  We will do our best to maintain consistent location(s) and practice time(s) at the pools.  We appreciate your understanding that pool scheduling is not in our team's control and that there will be times when we will have to make last minute changes or cancellations.  PLEASE check the website DAILY for last minute revisions or announcements.

Here's what we need from each member beginning August 25th and no later than September 10th to avoid late fee charges:

1)   Try-out/Registration Form - Please register with an email address that you check often (we send out auto emails when we have a last minute or important information that you may need).  Current addresses, phone numbers, medical information.  THIS IS IMPORTANT TO US...please complete a new one.

2)   Initial ($200) or Annual ($100) Team Registration Fees.  Check payable to:  PVAC

3)  Dues - either monthly or tri-pay plan.  You may not flip-flop between the two payment options.  Check payable to:  PVAC

4)  USS Membership forms - either RENEWAL or INITIAL (must bring ORIGINAL birth certificate OR passport if NEW to the team on August 25).  This form will be available at the pool on August 25th.
