We are pleased
to announce that we are adding an additional 7 new coaches to our
staff this upcoming season. We are very excited about this
opportunity. With the size increase of the team this year and
success with our golf outing and raffle this is possible. Thanks to
everybody for making this possible.
Kevin is returning to the staff after taking some time off to get married and start a family. Kevin was a coach from 1982-1986. He has been a big part of the NKSL for many years and is currently the President of the NKSL. Kevin now has two boys that will be starting their swimming careers this fall as well. Kevin will be assisting Julie Smith with AGD1 and Melissa Meyer with AGD2.
Lauren is a more recent Northern Kentucky Clippers Alum that is back from her college days at Western Illinois where she swam all four years and was voted team captain her senior year. Lauren is currently attending Chase Law School and with her free time she wants spend it at the pool with the Clippers. She will be assisting Marcie Dressman with Prep.
Kristen grew up as a member of the Brookwood Swim Team. After finishing college and getting married, she coached at Ft. Thomas Swim Club for 3 years as well as Simon Kenton High School until 1999. For the past three years she has taught swim lessons at Silverlake through the Swim America program. She has three children currently swimming in the program. Kristen will be assisting lead coach Lisa Harkrader with AGD4.
Matthew is a more recent Clipper Alum that is attending Northern Kentucky University. Matthew was a member of team from the time he was 6 years old. He had a very successful career hear as a Clipper and at Covington Catholic High School. Matthew will be working with us as he continues his education. He will be assisting Lisa Harkrader with AGD4.
Chris is a Northern Kentucky Clippers Alumni that went on to swim at the NCAA Power House, University of Texas Longhorns. While in Texas he was a multi event qualifier for the 2008 Olympic Trials. He still holds numerous Clippers team records. Chris moved back to the area to take a position with Fidelity Investments. Chris will be assisting Torre Hinken with AP2.
Chris is a Northern Kentucky Clippers Alumni that paved the way for many breaststrokers in the Clippers program. Chris was the first Clipper to ever break the 1 minute barrier in the 100 breaststroke making him the first swimmer in team history to break the 1 minute mark in all four strokes. Over the years Chris has stayed on top of the lastest and greatest dryland methods. He will be coming on board a little later in the season to assist in dryland workouts and helping implement new methods with our younger swimmers as well.
Dave Smith – Dryland Consultant From Better Bodies
Dave is coming on board to help with the implementation of Crossfit to our program. He will be assisting us in other avenues such as Nutrition. More info will be posted later.
