Irvine Aquazot swimmers Kendall Brown, Stephanie Schlobohm, Maggie Burton, Brynne Wong, Emily Jiang, and Brittany Kahn dominated last week in Austin, Texas during the annual Speedo Short Course Junior Nationals Championships. Headlining a great meet were swims by Maggie Burton, Kendall Brown, and Brittany Kahn. Maggie Burton took 5th place in the 100 breast (1:02.38), AZOT's highest placing in any event. Maggie also grabbed 11th place in the 200 breast (2:16.54), earning her LCM Senior National time in yards. Kendall Brown had a phenomenal meet, clocking best times in the 400 IM (4:21.17), 200 fly (2:05.91), and mile (16:41.44). Her 400 IM and mile were both new winter national cuts, and she placed 13th and 9th, respectively. Brittany Kahn had some huge time drops with best times in the mile (16:38.02), 500 free (4:59.21), 400 IM (4:27.26), and 200 IM (2:07.25). Additionally, Brittany placed 6th in the mile, gaining a new winter national time in the process. Stephanie Schlobohm had a huge time drop in the 200 IM, adding a new Florida Junior to her already huge resume. Emily Jiang performed well in all the relays, adding only a tiny bit of time to her 100 fly (55.94). Brynne Wong, also a strong relay swimmer for AZOT, went a best time in the 50 free (24.03), and was just off her best time in the 100 fly (55.94). The girls relays all did exceptionally well, placing in all but one relay. 4x50 medley relay: 5th place, 4x100 medley relay: 9th place, 4x50 free relay: 15th, 4x100 free relay: 15th, 4x200 free relay: 22nd.
