Aquazot Olympic Trials Results

Five Aquazot swimmers competed at the USA Swimming Olympic Trials this past week in Omaha, Nebraska. For all five, it was their first Olympic trials experience, and they gained valuable experience which will benefit them at other competitions in the future.

Corey Okubo had a very good meet in Omaha. Corey placed 18th in the 200 fly, with a best time of 2:00.33. In the 200 back, Corey also had a best time, breaking 2:04 for the first time with a 2:03.93. Corey was just off his best times in the 200 IM (2:05.88) and 400 IM (4:24.25).

Based on Corey’s time in the 200 Fly, Corey was selected to represent the USA at the 2012 Jr. Pan Pac Championships in Oahu, Hawaii August 23rd-26th.
