Nine new team's record and five JO cuts @ WSTA swim meet

                                                2013 WSTA BRW Swim Meet.


Our swimmers had an outstanding meet! We had over 80% best times and set 9 new individuals team records and 5 new JO cuts!! The team did a great job of supporting each other, and staying focused on having some GREAT swims! GO ROYAL!!!

New Junior Olympic cuts:

Leelee Marucci 100 fly - 1:24.60 (10 and under) – first JO cut.
Giuliana Castro 100 free - 1:08.56 (10 and under) – first JO cut.
Alison Wong 50 fly - 34.87 (10 and under) – additional JO cut.
Ian Campbell 200IM - 2:10.23 (13-14 age group) – additional JO cut.
Amy Okada 1000 free - 11:15.55 (13-14 age group) – additional JO cut.

New Team’s Records:


Leelee Marucci  set 7 new team records in the girls 8 and under age group:

  • 100 free with her time of 1:15.41. The previous record of 1:15.80 was set by Nicole Ipsen in December 2007.
  • 200 free with her time of 2:48.40. The previous record of 2:57.65 was set by Ariel Hayon in November 2011.
  • 100 back with her best time of 1:27.73. The previous record of 1:33.04 was set by Alyson Wong in October 2011.
  • 50 fly with her time of 38.76. The previous record of 40.59 was set by Alysa Parungao in October 2008.
  • 100 fly with her best time of 1:24.60. The previous record of 1:39.98 was set by Ariel Hayon in December 2011.
  • 100 IM  with her best time of 1:25.45. The previous record of 1:26.39 was set by Alyson Wong in November 2011.
  • 2011 with her best time of 3:02.41. The previous record of 3:32.10 was set by Aliel Hayon in January 2012.

Amy Okada  set a new team record in the girls 13-14 age group:

 

  • 500 free with her best time of 5:12.97. The previous record of 5:15.61 was set by herself in November 2012.

Lorenzo Lau set a new team record in the boys 15-16 age group:

  • 1000 free with his best time of 10:26.07. The previous record of 10:31.33 was set by Sebastian Garcia in December 2012.
