Kevin Steel's Amazing NCAA Performance

Kevin Steel, a former SJAC standout and Junior at the University of Arizona, put on an incredible performance at this years NCAAs.  Kevin swam a 51.69 in the 100 breast to finish in 2nd place behind teammate and American record holder Kevin Cordes.  Steel's time is the 6th fastest 100 breast in NCAA history and the 15th fastest ever.  His time also was under the previous American record that was broken just last year by Cordes.

Even more amazing is Kevin's progression in this event over the last 6 years.  As a 15 year old (3-2007) Kevin was a 1:06 100 breaststroker.  His continued growth is quite astounding...

2008 - 59.25
2009 - 56.02
2010 - 54.62
2011 - 53.58
2012 - 52.66
2013 - 51.69

Keep up the great work Kevin!!!
