Va Oaks meet recap

Another awesome meet Hurricanes 2-0!!! We did get our second win of the season by a score of 2843 to 1957. No records went down this week, but we did have a lot of time drops. As for DQs, we had 24 Individuals and 2 relays. Our individual DQs actually improved from last week even though the number stayed the same. This is because we had more swimmers swim in this meet then last. We were able to cut the number of relay DQs down to 2 which is excellent for this early in the season. Great job everyone!

Up next for the Hurricanes is the Wellington Dolphins (0-2). Wellington comes to Brookside in search of their first win as they dropped their first two meets to Dominion Valley and Sudley. This is going to be a very tight meet as Wellington is a divisional opponent and is a little bit bigger in size than we are. Please declare your intentions for this meet early as the less number of people we have to chase down on Wednesday the better. On a sad note, the Hurricanes will be saying goodbye to Coach Lauren as this will be her last week with the team. Coach Lauren will be attending physical therapy school at VCU, congrats Lauren!! We will certainly miss you around the pool deck. Once again I would like to congratulate everyone on the 2-0 start and hope to see everyone at practice this week!
