Swimmers & families,
Congratulations on another good meet at Whittier! We had a lot of best times of which we can be proud. I saw a few things that we need to work on as a team, but overall I was very pleased. I am going to be away this week, and will miss the Mt Airy meet next weekend. Coach Rogers will be doing the meet entry and setting up night practices. Please contact her with any meet changes or if you would like to attend an evening practice at [email protected]
Coach Rogers: I was very proud of the sportsmanship at this meet. Swimmers were smiling and shaking hands with their competitors after their races. That is terrific!
Coach Chelsea: It was a difficult meet and I was excited to see everyone step up and race. Good job!
Coach Kameryn: I’m so proud of all the young swimmers this meet. We’ve had so many improved times and I’m excited for the meets to follow. Great job everyone!
Coach Oksana: Even though this was a very tough meet, everyone did a good job pushing themselves in every event!
Coach Eric: You guys worked very hard and pushed fantastically the entire meet! Great two-handed touches!
Congratulations to this week’s Swimmers of the Week: Julia Baird, Maeve Sharkey, Siglinda Lyons and Raegan Corcoran. Here are some ways YOU can earn Swimmer of the Week: Come to practice, get into the water on time, listen to the coaches and try to make stroke corrections, help a teammate, cheer for others, have a good attitude & try hard at practice. You don’t have to be a fast swimmer to earn this honor – anyone can achieve this if you put your mind to it!
