Mt Airy meet info for Sat July 6

Swimmers & families –

  Our meet this Saturday is against the Ridge Swim Club in Mount Airy.  Here is the meet info.

-            Please arrive by 7:00.  Pool directions are below, and posted on the Documents tab of our website, as well as on the FSSL website.

-            Please have your swimmers check in with the sign-in volunteers as soon as you arrive so we know they are there.

-            Warm-ups are 7:25-7:50.  Swimmers should get ready for warm-ups by 7:20.

-            Timers meeting will be at 7:35 near the starter system.

-            S&T officials meeting will be at 7:45.

-            The meet will start at 8:00.

-            Braddock Height swimmers and families should enter the pool through the gates left of the club house. Our team area is the large grass area in the back behind the pool fence. Programs have detailed diagrams (clerk of course, concessions, bathrooms).

-            The Ridge Swim Club is located at 309 Beck Dr, Mt Airy, MD 21771.

-            Directions – Take I-70 E. Take exit 68 for MD-27 N toward Mt Airy. At end of the ramp, turn left on Md-27 N/Ridge Rd. After 1.4 mi turn left on Park Ave/Twin Arch Rd. Take 2nd right on Beck Dr.  It takes approximately 30 min from Middletown.

-            Parking:

o     The pool has about 80-90 parking spaces.

o     If the lot is full, parking is allowed on both sides of Beck Drive, but please do not block any of the mailboxes.

o     Parking is allowed on the right side of Merridale Blvd. (the same side as the senior center).

o     Parking is allowed in the Mt. Airy Daycare Center lot located adjacent to Wildwood Park at 605 Ridge Avenue.

o     Parking is NOT allowed on either David Court or Lewis Court located directly off of Beck Drive.

-            Important Note: The Ridge Swim Club has a strict policy against body markings of any type other than writing Event/Heat/Lane on hands. It is very easy for markers or paint to leave permanent marks on chairs that are owned by the swim club.

-            Please be courteous to our hosts by cleaning up our team area at the end of the meet.
