Bridlewood meet recap

Hurricanes got a much needed win 2732.5 - 2370.5 to Bridlewood!! We jumped all over Bridlewood early and never trailed during the meet. The Hurricanes put in a very spirited effort, winning most of the relays and events. The freestyle relays were much improved as we won 6 of 10. We are not done with Bridlewood, as we will see them in two weeks for divisionals. We had two records go down this week. Congrats to Coach Zach for breaking the 15-18 50 breast record that was set in 1995 by Brian Flory with a time of 33.35. Jake Heenan broke his own record in 11-12 50 Back with a time of 33.88. Congrats to both of you on fantastic performances! The attendance was excellent at this meet with 474 splashes. This is by far the most splashes this season. Lets keep it up!

This week the Hurricanes rap up the regular season on the road against the Piedmont Tsunamis (4-1). The Tsunamis have wins over Ashland, Ridgewood, Dominion Valley, and Kingsbrooke. Their loss came to Victory Lakes. This is a great tune up for divisionals as we will have the chance to race a good team. Swimmers will also have the opportunity to swim events that they have not swam this season. Please declare your intentions for the meet early. Also if you WILL NOT be at divisionals please notify me during this week. If you do not say anything to me, it WILL be assumed that you are coming. Coaches sign everyone up for divisionals, so you do not need to worry about picking events. Once again, it is very important that you notify me early if you are not attending divisionals (my email is [email protected]). Hope to see everyone at the pool.
