Florida day 1

It's official, the coogs are here and what a great start to the meet!! The 800 free saw two best times for Thea "dancing queen" Hesson in her very very very orange suit, and a great bronze medal swim for Colin "one bad turn deserves another" Rockwell. It's great when we're the loudest team on deck and even after all the singing in van #1 voices were still in fine form tonight.

Relays went really well with some great splits by all. Special mention going to Lia "wetsuit" Barskey who destroyed her best times and pulled her relay through the field both times, and to Carter "Bling Bling" Wallace who posted a time that was only 0.2 off of last years Olympic trials cut.

Coogs gave birth to a cub today and the swimmer of the day got to name him. Pride of place went to Carter who, with help from his teammates and all the random people in the business center, came up with "TYSON Legend". Tyson will be passed to the most outstanding swimmer each day, watch this space to see who becomes the daddy, or mummy, on day 2!
(No matter what happens though, van #1 will continue to party in hopes that one day while singing they will actually hit a note!)

Way to go coogs!!
