Day #1 at Sr. Zones Girls 15th, Team in 20th place

Josie Hadaway and J.D. Rousseau start the meet by breaking records, and scoring the Team first ever points and The Southern Zone Senior Championships in Plantation, Florida. Josie begins the night with a 10thplace finish in the 200m Breaststroke, with a time of 2:47.52, smashing her own record for the 15 – 16 and Open girls by more than 6 seconds. She later was our first Championship finalist in the 50m Breaststroke, finishing 7thwith a time of 37.15. We haven’t kept records for 15 and over’s 50’s perhaps I should start. OK Team Record. J.D. added another New Team Record in the 200m Breaststroke finishing 12thwith a time of 2:35.37 breaking his own Open Men’s record by more than 2 seconds. He also finished 16thin the 50m Breaststroke with a record time of 34.33

Jacob Abeyta also made finales in the 200m Backstroke finishing 4thin the “D” Final with a Life Time Best swim of 2:29.15.

The team sits in 20thplace with 3 days left of swimming with 25 combined team points, The girls team is 15thwith 19 points.

Today’s events are the 200m Freestyle for Josie, and Jacob, The 400m IM for J.D. . We finish up tonight’s finals with the Hadaway girls in the 800m Free Relay.
