Hurricanes Finish with a "Perfect Storm"


The Hurricanes finish this Summer’s Long Course season with a “Perfect Storm” in Life Time Best swims. Through the 5 day Southern Zone Senior Championships in Plantation, every swim the Hurricanes was a Life Time Best.  18 individual swims, 5 relay swims and all splits for all relays were best performances.


Jacob Abeyta (15) finished his week with a great swim in the 1500m Freestyle, His time of 17:59.97 was good enough to earn him 13thplace

J.D. Rousseau (19) continued his perfect week with best swims in the 200m IM 2:19.46, a 2.6 second drop, placing 22nd. And another .4 second drop in his 50m Freestyle.

Josie Hadaway (15) had the performance of the day with an incredible 9+ second drop in her 200m IM, placing 27thwith a near team record time of 2:34.29. She also dropped more than a half second in her 50m freestyle with a time of 30.02.

Our Girl’s final relay also produced 4 additional best swims:

Leigh Hadaway  – 100m Back          - 1:17.51   2.3 second drop

Josie Hadaway   – 100m Breast       - 1:18.69   1.8 second drop

Andie Hadaway – 100m Butterfly  – 1:27.03   1.2 second drop

Olivia Hadaway – 100m Freestyle  - 1:11.39      .2 second drop


With the 10 New Team Records from this week, it bring our 2 year total to 117 New Team Record of “The New Storm”.  It may now be on to “Te Perfect Storm”.
