Gators find success during High School Girl's swimming season

We are so proud of all of our Gators who have successfully completed the Girl's High School Swimming season. At Gators we love to see how the hard work that our swimmers put in during our season really pays off when it comes time to qualify for and compete in the High School Sectional Championships.

The following Gators qualified for and competed in Sectional Class B Prelims Trisha Costa (Eastridge) 100 Free, 50 Free, Audrey Gramlich (Eastridge) 100 Butterfly, 100 Back, Gabby Torres (West Irondequoit) 100 Butterfly, Robin Kirchgessner (West Irondequoit) 100 Breaststroke, 100 Butterfly, Danielle Giblin (West Irondequoit) 500 Free, Lauren Segelin (West Irondequoit) 100 Breaststroke, Susan Rollinson (500 Free)

We also saw some of our club swimmers having tremendous success at Sectional Finals representing the West Irondequoit swimming team and the Webster swimming team.

Emma Weber finished 12th in the 200 Free and 11th in the 500 Free helping Webster to a third place finish in Class A sectionals.

For West Irondequoit Emmaline Riester finished 16th in the 100 Butterfly and 9th in the 200 IM, Lydia Fregosi finished 11th in the 200 IM and 16th in the 100 Back helping the Eagles to 6th place overall.

Topping off the High School highlights was Alida Mooney blowing away the competition in the 100 Backstroke and finishing as the Champion in the Class B meet in that Event. She also placed 5th in the 200 Free. She reached the ultimate goal of qualifying for the New York State Championship Meet in the 100 Backstroke and went on to compete at Ithaca College in that meet with the Section V team.

It was exciting for the coaches and swimmers to see this hard work pay off and to watch these swimmers reaching their goals at various levels throughout the Sectional Championship meets and beyond. We look to build upon the success of these performances and continue this momentum all the way through until next season!
