Ashlyn & Hannah Continue to assault the Record Books

Ashlyn Steinbach and Hannah Mattson continue their assault on The Hurricanes Team Record Books on the final night of competition of the 2014 ESSZ Age-Group Sectional Championships at Georgia Tech.

Ashlyn (14) recorded her 6th New Team Record of the weekend by finishing 16th in the 100yd Freestyle with a time of 54.00, dropping .80 seconds from Moeko Wallis's 17 year old record.

Hannah Mattson (12) recorded her 7th New Record of the weekend by dropping almost 2 full seconds off her own record of last month. She was forced to have a swim off in the 100 Back to earn a place in finals. She won the swim off handily with a time of 1:01.12.

Having another great day os swimming was 10 year old Libby Storey dropping time in her two events of the day. 29.59 in the 50yd Free, and 1:14.18 in the 100yd Backstroke, time drops of .81 and 3.81 respectively.

In toll The Hurricanes have never had a finals swim at any Sectional Championships, this weekend saw 13 different swims, with two additional top 20 swims by 10 year old Brady Boudnik 18th in the 500yd Free and 20th in the 200yd Free.

The Hurricanes collected 13 New Team Records, bring the total to 95 during this Short Course Season starting in September. Since the New Storm our swimmers have now recorded 212 New Team Records.

We now set our sights on this weekends season ending Meet as we host The 2014 Georgia South West Divisional Championships. Just how many records will we record in total?
