April 8, 2014
COOGS Swim 2014, our annual team fundraiser, is just around the corner. On Saturday April 12, all COOGS swimmers will swim as much as a 5000-meter continuous swim (less for the younger swimmers). We ask that you go out to family members, neighbors, and good friends to gather pledges (either a flat amount, or a pledge per length) as a reward for your herculean effort. Contributions are tax-deductible as COOGS is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
Your non-swimming friends will be shocked to hear that you may swim as much as 200 lengths non-stop! All proceeds will go directly back to the swimmers in the form of specialized training equipment and additional video equipment.
COOGS Swim 2014 will be immediately followed by a team Bar-b-Que for swimmers and family members. The BBQ is BYOB (bring your own beverage). To sign up and volunteer to bring things for the BBQ, please click HERE.
Thanks so much - we ask for your strong support with this event. Click HERE for the four-page document that includes a pledge sheet, a sample script, prize list and more information that may interest donors.
We need parents to count laps and cheer on your hard-working swimmers!
